Join Tom: Oppose Kathleen Hartnett White
President Trump has done it again. He’s nominated another diehard supporter of the fossil fuel industry to a top environmental post in the government.
He tapped Kathleen Hartnett White to lead the White House Council on Environmental Quality — but White has been very vocal about her anti-science stances.
In the past, she’s compared “people who believe that carbon pollution is causing climate change” to “ideologues, pagans, and communists.” She also worked for a think tank that was funded by fossil fuel interests, including the Koch brothers.
The Senate is voting to confirm White is coming up after Thanksgiving. We need to come together to oppose her nomination.
